Suggested Itinerary
Day:1- Delhi arrival and relax at hotel
Upon arrival at Delhi Airport for Golden Triangle Tour with Khajuraho and Varanasi, our representative will greet and transfer you to the vehicle to leave for hotel. Rest of the day is free for independent activities. Return to the hotel for comfortable overnight stay.
Day:2- Delhi full day sightseeing
Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will leave for full day sightseeing in Old Delhi wherein you will visit Red Fort- constructed by Shah Jahan, was built as the fortified palace. Jama Masjid- India's largest and oldest mosque. The construction of this big mosque began in the year 1644 and was completed in 1658 by five thousand artisans. Also visit Qutub Minar- this is the second tallest Minar in India having height of 72.5 meters. Later in the evening, you can enjoy a rickshaw ride in the bustling bazaars at Chandni Chowk, which is one of the oldest and busiest markets in Old Delhi. Also tour Khari Baoli spice market in Old Delhi, which is Asia's largest wholesale spice market selling all kinds of spices, nuts, herbs and food products. Return to the hotel for comfortable overnight stay.
Please note- Akshardham Temple, Lotus Temple and Red Fort remain closed on Mondays.
Day:3- Travel to Jaipur and relax at hotel
After having breakfast at the hotel, you will leave for Jaipur. On reaching this place, you will check-in the hotel for comfortable overnight stay.
Day:4- Jaipur full day sightseeing
Have breakfast at the hotel, then you will leave for full-day sightseeing in Jaipur wherein you will visit Amber fort- which was built by Raja Man Singh I and well-known for its artistic style of Hindu elements. With its large ramparts, series of gates and cobbled paths, the fort overlooks the Maota Lake, at its forefront. You can enjoy elephant ride in this palace. Later on visit Jal Mahal (Lake Palace)- this palace is located in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake. It is built in red sandstone and is a five storied building out of which four floors remain under water when the lake is full and the top floor is exposed. Also visit Jantar Mantar is one of the most famous astronomical observatory that has a wide range of architectural instruments. The actual meaning of this place is "calculation instrument" and carries lot of astronomical and religious significance. It has 14 devices that are utilized for finding the star location, time, predicting eclipses and much more. Then you can enjoy shopping in this Pink city of India, which is famous for traditional jewelry and other handicrafts. Return to the hotel for comfortable overnight stay.
Day:5- Travel and explore Agra
After having breakfast at the hotel, you will leave for Agra. After reaching this place, check-in the hotel for short relax. Later you will visit Agra fort- which was built by Akbar with red sandstone and known as walled city. It has been now declared as UNESCO World Heritage site. After this, you will visit Tomb of I'timad-ud-Daulah (also called as Baby Taj), this mausoleum was commissioned by Nur Jahan, the wife of Jahangir for her father Mirza Ghiyas Beg. It is located on the bank of Yamuna River and this mausoleum is set in a large cruciform garden criss-crossed by water courses and walkways. In evening, you will visit Taj Mahal that has no peer and has been described as the most extravagant monument ever built for love, this fine example of Mughal architecture was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved second wife-Mumtaz Mahal. Return to the hotel for comfortable overnight stay.
Day:6- Continue exploring Agra and Departure to Khajuraho ( Overnight Train )
You can again visit Taj Mahal at the time of sunrise. After visiting this amazing monument, you will have breakfast at the hotel. Later, you will leave for Fatehpur Sikri which was founded in the year 1569 by the Mughal emperor Akbar, and also served as the capital of this Mughal Empire from the year 1571 to 1585. This place comprises of one stunning mosque and three palaces. Then return back to Agra and you will be dropped at Agra railway station to board the train to Khajuraho. Overnight in train.
Day:7- Khajuraho full day sightseeing
Upon your arrival at Khajuraho railway station, you will be transferred to the car as you will leave towards your hotel for short relax. Later you will go for sightseeing in Khajuraho wherein you will visit You will visit Vishwanath Temple, this temple was constructed in 11th century and dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is famous for its sculptures and beautifully carved exteriors. Then visit Lakshmana Temple, constructed in 930-950 AD and dedicated to Lord Vishnu. This big stone temple is brilliantly decorated with sculptures of different types of women with ornate jewelry. Also visit Kandariya Mahadev Temple, one of the biggest temples in Khajuraho dedicated to Lord Shiva and include images of musicians, beautiful women, erotic groups, gods and goddesses. It depicts the Chandela art and the big shrine was built in 1025–1050. Return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day:8- Khajuraho - Varanasi and sightseeing in Varanasi
After having breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the car as you will drive towards Varanasi. Check-in the hotel and have breakfast, then you will leave for excursion tour to Sarnath which is 10 kilometers away from Varanasi. Sarnath is a Buddhist pilgrimage center and at this place Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment and also see the museum. After sightseeing, return to your hotel in the evening and stay overnight.
Day:9- Continue exploring Varanasi
Early morning, you will enjoy boat excursion on River Ganges to experience the calmness and religious culture of this city. Then have breakfast at the hotel, you can walk through narrow alleys of the ancient city of Varanasi. Visit the most sacred temple of Varanasi i.e. Kashi Vishwanath Temple, which was constructed by Rani Ahalyabai Holkar of Indore in the 18th century. Lord Shiva is the patron deity of this temple and the idol is a jyotirlinga, which is one of the 12 jyotirlingas in India. Then you will visit Dasaswamedh Ghat, one of the prominent Ghats that is situated on the banks of river Ganges. Also visit Ramnagar Fort, which was constructed by Maharaja Balwant Singh in the 18th century and comprises of a museum and temple inside the premises. In the evening you can go for Aarti on the Banks of River Ganges. Return to your hotel for comforting overnight stay.
Day:10- Delhi Departure
After having breakfast at the hotel, our representative will transfer you to the Varanasi airport to board the flight to Delhi and later catch your international flight to home.
